Position: Electrician
Department: Technical Services

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Purpose

The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring safety, uninterrupted operations, and compliance with electrical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, panels, lighting, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform timely repairs.
• Ensure proper functioning of backup power systems (DG sets, UPS, inverters).
• Conduct preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Monitor energy usage and report irregularities or hazards.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with statutory regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of electrical materials.
• Coordinate with other technical teams for integrated maintenance work.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports of maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as an Electrician in commercial, residential, or facility management environments.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, safety standards, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of electrical safety norms (IEC, local standards) is essential.
• Willingness to work in shifts if required.
