IBR Fabric Fitter

Position: IBR Fabric Fitter
Department: Fabrication / Maintenance / Projects
Location: Chetlapotharam Village, Jinnaram, Telangana – 502319
Experience: Minimum 3 years

Job Purpose

Perform precise fit-up, alignment, and assembly of boiler and piping components in compliance with Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR), supporting welders and inspectors to ensure high-quality fabrication and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret IBR-approved fabrication drawings and layouts.
• Perform cutting, edge preparation, alignment, and fit-up of pipelines, flanges, and boiler components.
• Ensure correct root gaps, tolerances, and alignment before welding.
• Assist welders during fit-up, tack welding, and inspection processes.
• Handle assembly of valves, fittings, supports, and accessories as per IBR standards.
• Support inspectors during hydro testing and IBR approval processes.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards at the site.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in IBR fabrication projects.
• Proficient with measuring tools (vernier calipers, gauges, spirit levels, etc.).
• Familiarity with IBR codes, standards, and inspection procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
